Summer Holiday Exhibitions

I just returned from a little roadtrip, and on my way back I stopped in Wellington
to see the Print Council of Australia exhibition which is on at Solander Gallery.

Kati Thamo (Australia), Shifting Ground, 2009
Two-colour linocut

It is a very interesting and diverse show of works
selected from their Commissioned Prints Archive,
and definitely worth going in for a look if you are in the area.

Lynne Taylor, Coming Into Shore, 2009
Intaglio, paper size 17x60cm, edition of 12.

I also got one of the last NZ copies of the catalogue for the Out of the Box exhibition
currently on at Tweed River Art Gallery in Australia,
with an impressive 27 contemporary NZ printmakers!
Congratulations to all you kiwis involved in that, the catalogue looks awesome!

Karen Stevens, Dead River Water Tank, 2010
Woodcut and stitching, paper size 44x52cm, edition of 7.

Did you get to see any print exhibitions over the summer holidays??
Or discover any NZ printmakers we should know about???
Add a comment below or email me, I'd love to hear about it!
